Summer is in full swing and I could not be happier about it. ☀️ Once summer rolls around, I turn into a colorful hippie chic fashionista! 👒🐚 No joke! I just love to get my crochet dresses and tunikas out.
And while on summer vacation in the South of France, I also got my hands on this cute handmade straw basket. 👜
It is the perfect size to fit all my summer essentials such as a cute blanket, my iPad for some reading, sunscreen (I love the Coola brand), a pair of sunglasses, and my waterbottle from S’well. Every bag is unique and made by a French artisan. Since the shop does not sell online, I searched the web for some alternatives:
Bonus: IT IS PINK! I have a slight obsession with pink and teal if you haven’t noticed by now. 💖🦋 But for this summer look, I decided to go with some yellow. Yellow is such a great color for summer!
Normally, I’m not one to wear the same color from head to toe but since the top and the bottom are coming in different shades of yellow, it is a nice round look. I bought the crochet shorts in Antibes in the South of France a couple of years ago. They are so versatile and comfy that I wear them almost everyday. As a working from home bossbabe, I’m always looking for comfortable yet stylish pieces.
I bought the tunic at my favourite market in Valbonne (also in the South of France) this year. It only cost 40$ but is made from 100% cotton and really comfy and lightweight. Since I’ve started working in the fashion industry, I look at clothes with a whole different set of eyes. It’s very important that the fabric is made mostly from natural resources and that it feels cozy on my skin.
What I love most about this tunic is that you can wear it well into autumn. It looks amazing with a pair of white or blue jeans. You could also style it to a jeans skirt or a pair of high-rise shorts. As you can see, the options are endless. I love to buy pieces that you can style differently.

Sunprotection is very important, especially in regions where there is a lot of sun exposure. So I chose a straw hat to complement the look and protect my skin and hair from too many rays. Total win win situation!

A big trend I saw in France this year were these cute and colorful long necklaces. They kind of remind me of Mala necklaces yogis so often wear. They come with all kinds of different charmes. As a huge pineapple lover, I of course had to have a pineapple one. The color choice is endless, so you never get bored and have an option for every outfit.
I chose Havaianas flip flops but you can also wear a cute pair of boho-inspired sandals and even sneakers.

All that is missing now are the beach and a cold drink in my hand! 🏖🍹
