Guys, I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is just two days away! 😱 I already covered dinner and dessert but why not also start the day of love with a healthy yet sweet breakfast?
When thinking about what I wanted to do this year for Valentine’s Day, I had no clue at all. I kind of felt like I wanted to go to a fancy restaurant. But then it felt like spending lots of money while being served overpriced food with thousand of other “lovebirds” does not really give this day nor my boyfriend credit.
I don’t know about you but I’m already in the love mood 💗💗💗! Once February starts, I get all excited about Valentine’s Day! Since this year is all about fitness and health for me, I was looking for ways to make my Valentine’s Day dinner as clean and healthy as possible while still feeling like I’m treating myself and my boyfriend!
Listen up, champagne lovers! This Valentine’s Day you are up for a treat! 🥂
Hello February! 💖
The month of love is here! With Valentine’s Day next week, I thought about how I can treat my boyfriend without all the refined sugar and unneccessary carbs store bought treats are loaded with. As he has a serious sweeth tooth, I’m slowly trying to stir him away from his sugar addiction 😉.
You know I’m slightly obsessed when it comes to healthy eating and exercising. There is no new food trend, superfood or workout I haven’t tried! But I found that at the end of the day it all comes down to eating clean and nutritious food. Easier said than done!
Because the food industry, too, has realized that people are on a wellness trip now and they are coming out with all kinds of “healthy alternatives”. Today when you enter a grocery store, many packages are labeled superfood, sugar-free, no added preservatives, organic and so on. But don’t be fooled! These labels promise a lot but if you take a closer look, they are mostly false friends!
If you are like me and you can’t stay away from pasta, then this post is for you! I’m a huge pasta lover. Always have been and always will be. You can imagine my frustration when I found out that pasta was a no-no when I wanted to reach my health and fitness goals. To be honest, I did not adjust to it right away! Especially during the colder months, I just had to had a comforting bowl of pasta with lots of cheese every week. 🙈
I first got in touch with positive affirmations when I started my health and fitness journey with Tone It Up in 2014. More and more, I saw them popping up on various social media platforms and even heard my teacher talk about them in yoga class. At first, I was sceptical but then I decided to give it a try. And that’s when their true power unfolded!
Happy Sunday, guys! ☀️☀️☀️
Today I wanted to talk to you about meal prepping. I bet you already heard about #mealprepsunday. When I first started my fitness journey, I thought I would be fine by just sticking to healthy and clean guidelines when choosing my food throughout the week. But when I finally hopped onto the bandwagon of meal prepping, I saw a huge difference in my eating patterns AND my bodyweight.
One of my main resolution or rather goal this year is to finally quit the bullshitting and start tirelessly working towards my goals. Not listening to my mind telling me all this crap and constantly preventing me from truly being the person I was meant to be!
Besides listening to podcasts and watching youtube videos, I also got back into reading. There are so many amazing motivational books out there. I only have managed to read a few so far. Two of them had the most impact on me in the last year. If you are also determined to make your dreams come true this year, I advise you to pick up these two books, make yourself comfortable and start reading. You won’t regret it!
