New year, new resolutions, new body?

When it comes to foam rolling, I was pretty late to the game. Stretching on the other hand, has always been a very important part of my fitness routine. I guess, I just lacked the awareness of how many benefits rolling out your muscles hold.
So while I was working on a Kickstarter campaign for my eco-friendly leggings brand, I realized once again that sitting at a desk all day is not what I was designed to do. I’m fine with working at my computer for 3-4 hours. Then I get tired, anxious and uncomfortable. No matter how nicely I decorate my desk, I can’t get myself to sit there for too long.
Yesterday I got really down on myself. I had filmed a video for a kickstarter campaign for the eco-friendly yoga and fitness leggings collection I had designed (more on that on the blog soon). When looking at the footage, I did not recognize myself. I felt bulky, swollen and somehow manly. This was not at all the body I was striving for.
While on set the other day, I forgot to go the bathroom before the cameras started rolling. Of course, I also had a cup of coffee and water before! Bad decision when you can’t use the bathroom for an hour! So I had to pull myself together 😱
Since 2018 started, I made the commitment to get my nutrition back on track. This was much needed after a very indulgent December. This is not really easy for me as I have a huge sweet tooth. But I also realized that it is not healthy if sugar has this kind of power over me!
